Now that you have a basic understanding of the nature of workplace conflict, you must be deliberate in our choice of dispute resolution options.  In the name of efficiency and effectiveness, you need to use the solutions that are geared toward where you currently are on the workplace conflict scale.  


So, how do we do that? Though there is no "cut and dry" answer to that question, I have posted two questionnaires (one for employers and the other for employees) that will give you a general idea of where you are on the workplace conflict scale.

It is important to know that these questionnaires are not scientific.  They should only be used to provide guidance as to where you are on the conflict scale.  In that respect, you will note that certain illegal acts (for example, those under the anti-discrimination laws), are not included.  These actions would be automatically Level 3 or higher. If you believe you are on a different conflict level than the one provided by the quizzes, trust your own instinct in choosing the appropriate solutions.
